So, I wasn’t very interested in going to the Grand Canyon because I really don’t care for expensive touristy places. Well it was amazing we stayed on the South Rim and it was touristy, we basically had no money to do a freaking thing. I actually had planned on going to Sedona, Arizona but we ended up not having enough boo! The IMAX movie at the Grand Canyon was $14, frick…So, we didn’t go but camping at the Canyon was ridiculous and expensive and because people feed the animals we had ravens carrying away whole bags of chips (I am not even joking). Oh and as soon as we arrived at the campground there were elk fighting. I was not happy and people were walking right up to them! This place was the most dangerous place we went we had to worry about lightening strikes, wildfires, and monsoons (no shit). So, FYI do not go to the Grand Canyon in August and if you do ever go just stay in the resorts, seriously.

The Canyon itself is amazing and it doesn’t look real at all! Both days we were there it was clear, woot! We spent the majority of our time going to the talks and just taking the shuttle from point to point. The one geological talk I wanted to see got cancelled, this is my luck the whole trip. But Jeanette got to see her Native American dances which were pretty awesome.
We did dine at a really awesome resort restaurant El Tourvo? I think, anyways it was amazing. I really recommend taking the train there which we couldn’t do but seriously it looks rad. So, bottom line this is a must do but take like four days and more money.
